Feeling Blue? Try This!

I had a real blah of a day today. Feeling blue. Won't get into why, 'cause it really isn't important. What is important, is what I did about it. I came up with an idea that worked for me, and I think it could work for anyone. I made a BLUES BOX! Here's a quick video explanation. Let me know what you think (comments form below post, OR email me at susanlcross@yahoo.com).

I mentioned in this video another idea I had called the "Do Something Drawer". Here's the interview I did with Teri Hatcher that explains that (among other things!). Oh--and the title of my book is most likely changing...just so you know!

Girls in Sports: What's Your Story?

I love this inspiring video about women in sports. We all should encourage our daughters to pursue their interests--no matter what they are! My own daughter plays soccer and has dabbled in other sports as well. She was never interested in dance as I was. I wonder if I'd been encouraged to play a sport, whether I may have found one I loved, and had the opportunity to know what it was like to be a part of a team.

I also wonder if the fact that so many women never had that opportunity has something to do with why we seem to have trouble supporting one another in other areas of our lives. What can we do to change this? Probably a lot of things, but one of the simplest might just be introducing sports to young girls. What do you think?

Did you ever play a sport? Did you ever want to, but were discouraged by someone? Did you play anyway? E-mail me your story at susanlcross@yahoo.com.
